Notifications

Stay informed about workflow completions, client reviews, and content events.

Brandmanna keeps you informed about important events through an in-app notification system. The bell icon in the top navigation bar shows your unread count and gives you quick access to all recent notifications.

Notification Bell

The bell icon sits in the top navigation bar and is visible on every page. When you have unread notifications, a red badge appears on the icon showing the count -- up to 99+ for high-volume activity.

Click the bell to open the notification panel and see your recent notifications.

What Triggers Notifications

Notifications are generated automatically when key events happen across the platform. You do not need to configure anything -- all relevant events are tracked by default.

Workflow Events

Workflows generate notifications at key transition points:

  • Completion -- a workflow has finished running all its stages successfully, and your content is ready for the next step
  • Failure -- a workflow encountered an error and stopped. The notification includes context about what went wrong so you can investigate
  • Review gate pause -- a workflow has reached a review gate and is waiting for your approval before it can continue to the next stage

Client Reviews

When you use Client Review to share content with external reviewers:

  • Review link sent -- confirmation that you have successfully sent a review link to an external reviewer
  • Review response -- the reviewer has submitted their feedback, either approving the content or requesting changes

Content Events

General content lifecycle events:

  • Approval changes -- when the approval status of a draft or content pack changes (e.g., from pending to approved)
  • Review responses -- when someone responds to a review request with detailed feedback, approval, or requested changes

Interacting with Notifications

Viewing notifications

Click the bell icon to open the notification panel. Each notification shows the event type, a brief description, and when it occurred.

Marking as read

Click any individual notification to mark it as read and navigate directly to the related item. For example, clicking a workflow completion notification takes you to that workflow's results.

Mark all as read

Use the Mark all as read action at the top of the notification panel to clear the unread badge in one step. This is useful when you have reviewed your notifications and want to reset the counter.

Auto-refresh

Notifications refresh automatically in the background while you are using Brandmanna. You do not need to reload the page to see new notifications -- they appear in real time.

Common Notification Scenarios

Workflow completes while you are away

If you start a workflow and navigate to another page, you will see the bell badge increment when the workflow finishes. Click the notification to jump straight to the results.

Client responds to a review

When you send content for client review and the reviewer approves or requests changes, you receive a notification immediately. Click it to see their feedback and take action.

Review gate needs attention

When a workflow hits a review gate, you get a notification prompting you to review and approve the content so the workflow can continue.

Tips

  • Check the bell regularly if you run workflows or have content out for review.
  • Use "Mark all as read" to keep the badge clean and make new notifications easier to spot.
  • Notifications are a quick way to navigate to items that need your attention without searching for them manually.
