MCP Workflows & Prompts

Copy-pasteable prompt templates for common content operations with the Manna MCP server.

Once you have the MCP server set up, you can manage your entire content operation through conversation with Claude. This page contains ready-to-use prompt templates for the most common workflows.

You do not need to remember tool names or syntax. Just describe what you want in plain language and Claude picks the right tools automatically.

What You Can Do

Brand Intelligence

  • Ask Claude about any of your brands and it pulls the full voice profile, pillars, personas, and tone guidelines
  • Claude automatically writes in your brand's voice — no manual tone-matching needed

Content Generation & Refinement

  • Generate ideas, quick drafts, or full drafts from ideas — all through conversation
  • Refine drafts (shorten, expand, adjust tone) with Claude doing the heavy lifting
  • Score any content against your brand voice to check consistency

Content Plans

  • Create campaign, recurring, or editorial plans for any brand
  • Generate themed content packs with one command
  • Generate all the content (ideas to drafts) for each pack
  • Send packs for external review via magic link — reviewers do not need a Brandmanna account
  • Approve, reject, or batch-schedule entire plans

Publishing

  • Schedule drafts for specific dates and times
  • Auto-publish to connected social accounts
  • Get calendar intelligence — see what is coming up and where the gaps are

Example Prompts

Copy and paste any of these into Claude Desktop, Cursor, or VS Code. Replace [Brand Name] with your actual brand name.

Daily Check-in

"Show me all my brands in Manna and give me a content status overview — what's scheduled, what needs attention, and where the gaps are in the next 2 weeks."

Claude pulls all brand profiles, calendars, and upcoming content in one go. A single prompt replaces manually checking each brand.

Campaign Planning

"Create a 4-week recurring LinkedIn content plan for [Brand Name]. I want to post 3 times per week — thought leadership on Mondays, behind-the-scenes on Wednesdays, and engagement posts on Fridays. Generate the content packs and then generate all the content."

This does everything in one shot: creates the plan, generates themed packs for each week, then fills every pack with on-brand drafts.

Multi-Brand Weekly Planning

"For each of my brands, create a weekly content plan for next week. Each brand should have 3 posts across their connected platforms. Generate all packs and content. Then show me everything so I can review before approving."

Automate your Monday morning workflow. Claude works through each brand, creates plans, generates content, and presents everything for review.

Content Review & QA

"Show me the content plan for [Brand Name]. Review each draft and flag anything that needs refinement. For the ones that look good, approve them. For the ones that need work, refine them to improve clarity and engagement, then approve."

Claude becomes your quality assurance layer — reviewing, refining, and approving in a single flow.

Client Review

"Send the 'Week 1' content pack from [Brand Name]'s plan to reviewer@example.com for review. Include a message saying: 'Here are next week's posts for review. Please approve or leave feedback by Friday.'"

The reviewer gets a magic link in their email — they can view all drafts, approve, or request changes. No Brandmanna account needed. You see their response in the app.

Draft Refinement

"Get my latest draft for [Brand Name] and refine it — make it more conversational, add a stronger hook in the first line, and keep it under 200 words."

Perfect for polishing before publishing. Claude refines in one step.

Batch Scheduling

"Approve all pending packs in the [Brand Name] content plan, then batch schedule everything. Posts should go out at 9am on their target dates."

One command to approve and schedule an entire plan.

Strategic Idea Generation

"Look at [Brand Name]'s voice profile, their recent content themes, and their calendar gaps. Generate 10 fresh content ideas that fill those gaps and align with their brand pillars. Bank the best 5 as ideas in Manna."

Claude uses your brand intelligence to generate strategic ideas rather than random topics.

Cross-Brand Strategy

"Compare the content strategies across my brands. Where am I covering similar themes? Where are the gaps? Suggest 3 unique angles for each brand that play to their individual strengths."

Get an agency-level strategic view across your entire portfolio in one conversation.

Tips for Effective Use

  • Start with "List my brands" — Claude discovers your brands and knows what tools are available
  • Be specific about brand names — say "for Acme Corp" not "for my brand"
  • Chain actions — you can say "generate the content AND approve it AND schedule it" in one prompt
  • Ask Claude to explain — "What's the brand voice confidence?" or "How can I improve my brand profile?"
  • Everything is persistent — anything Claude creates is saved in Brandmanna, so you can continue in the web app any time
  • Iterate naturally — if the first result is not quite right, tell Claude what to change. It remembers the context within the conversation.

Common Workflow Chains

These multi-step workflows show how to chain actions together for maximum efficiency.

Full Campaign Launch

"Create a 4-week campaign plan for [Brand Name] called 'Summer Launch'. Generate all packs and content. Score every draft against the brand voice. Refine anything below 80%. Then show me the final plan for review."

Weekly Content Ops

"For [Brand Name], check the calendar for next week. Generate ideas for any empty days. Create drafts from those ideas and show me the results."

Content Audit

"List all drafts for [Brand Name] with status 'draft'. Review each one and give me a summary table showing the title, platform, and status. Flag any that need refinement and suggest improvements."

Publish-Ready Pipeline

"Show me all approved packs for [Brand Name] that are not yet scheduled. Schedule each one for 9am on its target date in my timezone. Confirm the schedule when done."

Troubleshooting

If something is not working:

  1. Make sure Claude Desktop is fully restarted after configuration changes (quit and reopen, not just close the window)
  2. Check your API key is correct — it should start with manna_
  3. Try "List my brands" to verify the connection
  4. Look for the hammer icon (tools) near the text input — you should see 22 tools listed under "manna"
  5. If tools are not showing, check that your claude_desktop_config.json has the correct format — see MCP Server setup
